I can only say that the El Naturalista's have withstood a lot. I had them for about 2 years before I gave them to my mum who literally wears them almost every day for 8 hours a day on hard surfaces and they still look (and feel) brand new. I also got a custom made pair of flip flops which I have hiked in and walked all over Europe in and they're still gorgeous (and 2 years old).

I think it's like anything - if it's made well it'll last regardless if it's green or not.

Q: Can "green" shoes truly stand up to the test of time and (average) rigors of wear and tear to the degree that "regular" shoes (of comparable price) do? I'm curious to hear of any first-hand experiences concerning this (..not theoretical answers). Thanks!
