- Felicia asks, “Is Google Making Us Stupid” – I read the article she refers to and agree on all levels. I also fear the internet doesn’t actually connect us more but isolates us. It just makes us feel better about it because it tricks us into thinking we’re connected only because we’re plugged into gadgets. I love the internet for so many reasons but really, really question how it affects people in positive ways with regards to community and living.
- Future Derm posts writes why natural skin care isn’t always better. I wouldn’t give up some of my unnatural products (Philosophy’s Real Purity, Jan Marini’s Transformation Serum, La Mer, Skinceuticals CE Ferulic) either but I do try to go natural when it works (Korres Rose Mask, Bare Escentuals Lip Gloss, Everyday Minerals, Dr. Haushka Cleansing Cream).

What’s Hygge?
The Danish word Hygge (hugh-gah) is a feeling or mood that comes from taking genuine pleasure in making ordinary everyday things simply extraordinary.
It’s about being conscious and authentic from home to work to friends to celebrations to the every day tasks. Hygge can be used to describe a lot of things in a lot of ways.
My favourite? Simple, cosy, charming. That's what I hope to share here.
By the way, I'm alex (the girl). Learn more here.Elsewhere

I totally agree that the internet gives us a false sense of community. While I appreciate connecting with people online, I always try to call, drop a note in the mail, or go on a walk with my friends. Nothing beats seeing their smile in person.
