This cottage was built by the sea in 1920. It had one family as the owners until 2004 when a couple bought it, lovingly restored it to all its glory (and not leaving a detail out) and rented it out. I'm the second renter. The house has the old fashioned screens, sash windows that work, built in ironing board, a large yard with fruit trees, a sitting porch and a bathtub I want to live in. It's also the most eco-friendly house with an instant hot water tank, eco-friendly paints, all in one washer/dryer and windows designed to get cool breezes through (no AC!).

On August 29th, 2009, I moved into an 1870's historic stone home in Philadelphia after only having been to the outside of the property (I didn't see the inside until moving day!). It's the largest home I've lived in and the first two level and the first basement and the first with lots of property. I'm trying to bring alive the historic accents whilst keeping it modern.

Recently remodeled kitchen and bathroom, this 1950's flat retains its natural charms such as crown moldings, light fixtures and original hardwood floors. 10ft high ceilings with lots of windows and surprisingly a lot of closet space. This has been one of my favourite places; it's got a treehouse feeling. Calm, private, safe.

This bungalow was the first house I ever bought; as soon as I saw the photos online I new it was going to be mine and flew to Austin to make an offer. It was really love at first sight. It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home that only had one other owner before me. It was approximately 1000 square feet, had a large unusable shed and a very large front and back yard that I landscaped. Since it was older there was rennovations to be done which involved trips to city hall & lots of permits. But eventually it was all sorted and became a charming, lovely home. Details: 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and 100SF. Built in 1941 on 1/2acre.

During a transition period, I happened to take a trip to Carmel where I met the owners of the Cypress Hotel who also owned a condo kitty corner to the hotel. I thought it would be an experience to live in Carmel By The Sea for a few months so I took it. This flat was featured in Apartment Therapy, San Francisco. Details: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 850SF with a balcony & fireplace. Built in 1960.

This 1940's two bedroom, one bath was in the same complex as the first onebedroom flat I lived in when I first moved to Santa Monica in 2004. I just loved the building (only 8 units) and the flats size (900sf) and charm (high ceilings, crown molding, original tile & stove, built in bookcases, hardwood floors and beautiful entrance). One of my favourites as it felt like a home (with a big hallway).
